Annual Sports and Prize Giving Ceremony 24 at CDF School
CDF School hosted its grand Annual Prize-Giving Ceremony on January 26, 2025, celebrating academic excellence and showcasing the rich cultural talents of its students. The event, marked by excitement and enthusiasm, brought together students, faculty, and distinguished guests to honor the remarkable achievements of the year.
The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Mrs. Nasreen Subhan, Managing Trustee of the Abu Sobhan Welfare Trust, and our Chief Guest, Mr. M. Mostafizur Rahman, Executive Chairman of Duncan Brothers Bangladesh. We were also privileged to welcome distinguished trustees of the Abu Sobhan Welfare Trust, Dr. S. M. Akbar and Mr. Monsur Ahmed Choudhury, along with notable figures such as Mr. Anwarul Azim, former senior executive of Duncan Brothers and United Finance; Group Captain M. Nurullah, PSC, Principal of BAF Shaheen College; Bangladeshi singer Rebeka Sultana; renowned human rights activist and freedom fighter Aroma Dutta; expatriate cultural figure and retired teacher Mr. Shamim Rahman; and other distinguished guests. Their presence added immense value to the occasion, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all.
The ceremony began with heartfelt tributes to Mr. Peter Leggett, the visionary founder of CDF School, and Mr. Abu Sayeed Md. Obaidus Sobhan, whose dedication and commitment turned that vision into a reality. Their contributions were honored with deep respect and admiration.
Following the tributes, the event proceeded with a warm welcome speech by Mrs. Nasrin Sobhan, setting the tone for the celebration. The Chief Guest, Mr. M. Mostafizur Rahman, delivered an inspiring address, applauding the students for their academic excellence and extracurricular achievements, and providing valuable guidance for future endeavors.
The event's highlight was the cultural performance by the talented students of CDF School. The audience was treated to a captivating display of drama, poetry recitation, dance, and music, showcasing the diverse talents of the students. In addition, our honored guests presented awards to the winners of the annual sports competition, further celebrating the holistic development of the students.
The event concluded with a thoughtful closing speech by Mr. Nripendra Kumar Das, the Head Teacher of CDF School, who expressed gratitude to all attendees and participants.
The ceremony came to an end fitting close with a stirring performance by the renowned artist Rebeka Sultana, who beautifully rendered the iconic song "Ek Shagor Rokter Binimoye Banglar Swadhinata", leaving a lasting impression on all present.

ANNUAL PROGRAMME 2022
The prize giving function is important for encouraging the efficient working of a school. It comes only once a year. This generates new enthusiasm in the students. Students are excited to get their hands on the prizes.
Like every year, an annual prize giving and a colourful cultural programme was held on March 5, 2023 in CDFS. The honorable guest was Abu Subhan Welfare Trust’s managing trustee Mrs. Nasreen Subhan along with trustee Mr. S.M. Akbar and Mr. Monsoor Ahmed Chowdhury. The manager of different tea garden was also present as a guest in this cultural programme. Antora, the annual magazine of CDF School was published on this day. This magazine contains student’s creative writings as well as presents all information about school. Students displayed various cultural activities such as drama, reciting poems, dance and so forth. Besides these, a special certificate has been given to the examinee of SSC, 2022 as they obtained a brilliant result for getting 100% GPA-5. Besides this, certificates of appreciation were awarded to the teachers by Dr. S M AKbar,trustee, ASWT for their tireless effort regarding the result and a special bonus was announced for the teachers on behalf of Abu Subhan Welfare Trust. The prizes for the sports and competitions held throughout the year handed over to the students by the managers of the various gardens.
SSC Result-2022
Students of Camellia Duncan Foundation School have brought out glorious result in SSC examination 2022. A Total of 15 students appeared for the board examination and the school secured 100% pass with all candidates securing GPA-5.00. Sunny yadav, Chandon Robidas, Sobuj Shaliya, Subol Rikmun, Aklas Miah, Puja Urang and Suborna Gowala were in Science group and all achieved GPA 5.00 as well as Bishal Bunarjee, Jahedul Islam, Sindhu Bhowmik, Protap Urang, Smrity Mohali, Sumi Robidas, Shanta Naidu and Asha Rani Rudra Paul were in Business Studies group and all achieved GPA-5.00. The Managing Director of the School, Mrs. Nasreen Subhan, admired the achievers. She thanked all the students and teachers for their combined efforts.
